'Connect'
My approach to photography is not just about observing and documenting, but also about engaging in a meaningful collaboration with those I photograph. True authenticity comes from mutual trust and understanding, where the subject's voice is not only heard but also actively shapes the narrative.
Working closely with participants who are physically or mentally impaired, I use photography as a tool for awareness, to foster empathy, and to challenge perceptions. I aim to honour the dignity and resilience of the participants and to create work that helps the participants and together we take vital steps in making a difference in society.
This project was a collaboration with 6 clients focusing on the importance of daycare centres. We worked together to explore why they attend the centre and why it is important to keep them open.
